A Special Night For A Couple Kings Dec. 12th
Saturday December 12th the JDA Kings host the Sexsmith Vipers at the Crosslink County Sportsplex. However that night will be much more than just another game night. Plans are in the works to make this night a special one for a couple of former JDA Kings teammates as they have their jerseys retired. Many former players and teammates will be on hand that evening to help honor the accomplishments of these former Kings.
The game will also be the first game ever televised on tv as Eastlink cable will be on hand to broadcast the action. This will be the first of a few games this season that will be broadcast against Sexsmith and Beaverlodge with a chance of some additional playoff games being shown on the local station.
In addition the organization is hoping to have a number of giveaways as a fan appreciation night as well as some intermission entertainment to make this not just a regular game night for the fans and the players. Tickets are available at the door for only $10. As usual the Players Bench Lounge will be open at the south end of the rink for dinner and more along with the the Bleacher bar being open at the top of the stands so you don’t miss any of the action and festivities.
We look forward to the place being packed to honor these former Kings and make this a very special night for them, the current JDA Kings organization and the great junior hockey fans of the Grande Prairie area.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!!
