Blades Buried by Kings

Your JDA Kings defeated the Beaverlodge Blades 12-2 on Thursday registering 72 shots versus 24 shots that were fired at Kings netminder Andy Gilker. It wasn’t the prettiest game however the Kings were able to score 4 times in the first period, 5 times in the second and another three times in the third while surrender 2 goals in the final frame.

The JDA Kings line of C. Wamsteeker, Ryan Trudeau and J. Wamsteeker had a combined 13 points while Mitch Stordy was the only player to register more than one goal in the game netting a pair. It was a complete team effort offensively.

The Kings are now tied with the North Peace Navigators for first place in the league with identical records.

The Kings next game is Saturday at 8pm at the Crosslink County Sportsplex versus the Ft. St. John Huskies.

The bleachers are fully licenced at all Kings games and the Penalty Box lounge is open to watch the game, have a bite to eat and enjoy a beverage or two.
