KINGS NOT SHORT ON POWER VS SEXSMITH

October 16, 2013

The Grande Prairie JDA Kings won 12-3 last night, in a very dominant game over the Sexsmith Vipers. A reschedule of the October 8th game cancelled due to a south side power outage, was a very electric outing for the now 6-0 Kings. Kings ended up with an official final shot edge of 48-22.

Jace Weegar led the way with 6 points (4G, 2A), Lyndin Lewis (2G, 2A) & Corey Wamsteeker (1G, 3A) had 4 point nights; and Ryan Trudeau, Brad Derksen (1G, 2A) and Daniel Bishop (3A) ball had 3 point nights for the Kings. The game also featured 2 fierce fights for Kings’ Brandon Bavis & Mitch Stordy.

Braden Fuller left the game late in the first after an unexpected hit laid him out on the ice. A lot of concern for him, but word is the injury isn’t as severe as expected. Hopefully it’s a speedy recovery – best of luck healing up Braden!

Kings back in action 8:30pm Friday October 18th hosting the Fairview Flyers, then travel to Fort St. John for a 2pm puck drop vs the Huskies. Come on out and support your hometown team!
