Kings tie up NWJHL semis – Logan Clow DHT

The County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings are returning to the Crosslink County Sportsplex Tuesday with a 2-2 tie in the best-of-seven series.

After losing 6-1 on Thursday in Fairview, the Kings responded with a 5-3 road victory in game four Saturday.

Captain Corey Wamsteeker led the way with a pair of goals and Zach Bennett, Kelsey Bauman and Joel Wamsteeker also scored, as goaltender Tallon Kramer turned aside 29 shots.

Kramer last started for the Kings on Feb. 11 in Beaverlodge.

The Kings outshot the Flyers 35-32.

Game five is at 8 p.m. Tuesday and then shifts back to Fairview on Thursday at 8:30 p..m.

If necessary, game seven will be played March 14 at the Crosslink County Sportsplex.
