NWJHL Finals Game 1 Festivities
The Grande Prairie JDA Kings and North Peace Navigators kick off game 1 of the NWJHL finals tomorrow night at the Coca Cola Centre and it’s been announced that the Kings will have a few special guests as well as some pre-game festivities planned prior to the start of the opening game.
First and foremost we are extremely excited to announce that Grande Prairie’s own Mayor Bill Given will be dropping the puck as our guest for our honorary face-off just moments to the start of game 1. We’re thrilled at the thought of having the Mayor take part in what should be a very entertaining game and are very grateful for him to take time out of his schedule to help us kick off the NWJHL finals.
For our out of town fans not able to attend tomorrow nights game, Grande Prairie Storm play by play man Jeff Henson and 104.7 FreeFM will be providing in game live updates for all our remaining home and away games. You can tune into it the old fashioned way through your radio or if you have an internet connection available at the time you can listen live through the FreeFM website.
For the fans attending the game we’ve rented the Hockey Legends Lounge located at the top of the Coca Cola Centre which also provides a viewing window so you can watch the game in its entirety (if you choose to) from up top. If anyone of age is looking for an adult beverage the bar will be open but please keep in mind that all drinks served must be kept in the Hockey Legends Lounge. We will open the lounge for Thursday and Saturday night at the Coca Cola Centre.
Finally we urge all fans to be in their seats prior to the start of the game as we have some pre-game festivities planned before the start and our honorary puck drop.
Bring your noisemakers and airhorns for tomorrow nights game and let’s help support your Grande Prairie JDA Kings as they kick off the NWJHL championship series.
