Kings To Continue Playing Down South

August 2, 2018

The JDA Kings are extremely happy to announce that now former Kings Zach Bennett and Donald Gaudreault have committed to play college hockey in the United States.

Zach Bennett will be attending Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ where the Lopes play in the highly competitive ACHA. Over 4 years of dawning the JDA King sweater “Benny” was one of the most reliable players whether it was scoring a big goal or representing the team in the community. Zach was always a top scorer for the Kings and in his final year he was not only the top goal scorer on the team but he became a defensive work horse especially on the penalty kill. We wish Zach the best in his future with hockey and school.

Zach Bennett Stats:

GP 123; Goals: 72; Assists: 90; Points: 162

Donald Gaudreault will be headed off to play for the 10 time NJCAA champions Dakota College at Bottineau Lumberjacks located in Bottineau, ND. Due to the NJCAA cutting the sport of hockey the lumberjacks now compete in the ACHA. While playing for the Kings Donny was always a go to guy for coach Chapple during his 4 years. His leadership on and off the ice made it an easy decision for coaches and teammates to be the team captain in his final season. The lumberjacks will be receiving a all-around team guy that puts in the work to always improve all aspects of his game and will be a player that future teammates will love to play with. The Kings wish Donny nothing but the best as he pursues his education and hockey.

Donald Gaudreault Stats:

GP: 109; Goals: 36; Assists: 72; Points: 108
